Celebrating our New Ofsted 'Good' Rating!

CELEBRATIONS AT THE LINDEN ACADEMY FOLLOWING THEIR ‘GOOD’ OFSTED OUTCOME

Staff and pupils at The Linden Academy, Luton are delighted to announce that the school has been judged to be ‘Good’ in all areas following their recent Ofsted inspection.

The Ofsted report for The Linden Academy, which “has constructed an ambitious, well sequenced curriculum”, has been finalised, stating that pupils are “very well cared for by their teachers and other adults”.

Principal Michelle Woodhams said: “I am incredibly proud of this achievement as it is an endorsement of the hard work, energy and dedication of staff, pupils, parents and carers. I am delighted for our school to be recognised in this way; the team have worked tirelessly to ensure they put children at the heart of everything they do creating a safe environment where children are happy to learn and challenge themselves”.

Since the last inspection in December 2021, leaders have “worked at pace with the school to improve the curriculum and the effectiveness of teaching.”

Co-Principal Jordan Campbell adds: “'I am exceptionally proud of the staff at The Linden Academy. Their unwavering dedication and hard work have resulted in a remarkable outcome, reflecting the care and high aspirations we hold for all our children.”

The Ofsted report also states that “The school works tirelessly to give pupils a rich range of opportunities. These raise aspiration and enable pupils to discover interests and talents. They develop as well-rounded citizens.”

In addition, the school’s excellent SEND support was recognised, stating that “adults adapt tasks and support pupils with SEND skilfully. As a result, pupils with SEND make positive progress.”

Ofsted inspectors also reported that “relationships are consistently calm, kind and respectful. Pupils are happy to work and play together. They feel and are safe.”

Chief Executive Officer of The Shared Learning Trust, Cathy Barr adds: “I am incredibly proud of The Linden Academy and their well-deserved Ofsted judgement. Inspectors were impressed with the school and that is reflected throughout their report.”
