Parent Focus Group
As part of our School / Parent Partnership Scheme, we have set up a Parent Focus Group. This comprises a group of parents / carers who have volunteered to be part of the group to meet with academy leaders to discuss issues related to the provision and direction of the academy. Through this Parent Focus Group, parents can share their ideas and views about future developments at The Linden Academy and look for opportunities to support and raise the profile of the academy around Luton.
Terms of reference for the group can be found below. If you would like to be part of this group please contact us at:firstname.lastname@example.org

Attendance Information for The Linden Academy
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance are key messages for all children at The Linden Academy. We place immense value on the support from our families in reinforcing these messages with their children as they progress through what is the first phase of their educational journey in their Primary School years.
Please click on the link below to view a summary of the school's perspective on the importance of consistent attendance. Our aim is for every child to achieve at least 97% attendance.
We describe the system using the term "Go for Green". You will see from the attendance document that the "green" band for attendance would be 96%+. We aim for every child to come within this range.

Reading Information and Advice for Parents
Accelerated Reader Programme in KS2
Family guests in Years 5 & 6 were invited into school to find out more about an initiative that has been introduced at TLA, designed to promote and encourage progress in Reading as well as engage potentially reluctant readers in a renewed and more positive approach towards how enriching and purposeful reading can be. The programme has been adopted in Years 5 and 6 in school under the guidance of Mr Moore and Mrs Brown, our English, Library and Reading lead teachers. The children are already seeing the benefits and the staff, as well as the parents and carers are able to access the programme in order to utilise it as a valuable assessment tool when judging children's progress.
Please access the link below to view the information for families about this programme.
